Ian Jameson is a singer/songwriter/performer/musician,
who has toured the world in a selection of bands, duos and
as a solo artist for many years.
He started singing in the clubs around Manchester UK at the
age of 15, as a guitar vocalist and served his apprenticeship
as an entertainer there.
He formed several bands in the 70’s, performing his
original material alongside contemporaries such as Elvis Costello,
Buzzcocks, Dire Straits etc. as a compare at “Rafters’ and “Band
in the wall”, which were then two of Manchester top new
music venues.
From 1979 to 1985 he worked with Brownsville
Banned, a very
successful comedy band from Manchester and made 2 TV series
and 2 albums with them.
In 1986 he formed ‘Cachet” duo with his wife,
moved onto keyboards as well as vocals and guitar. They worked
in this format for over 20 years on cruise ships and in hotels,
casinos and nightclubs, all over the world.
Since April 2007 he has been working as a solo artist, performing
a wide variety of melodic music, including some of his excellent
original songs.
He spent the summer of 2007 as the entertainer on the river
cruiser Da Vinci, sailing the Rhine between Cologne and Basil
in Switzerland.
He now lives in Fuengirola, Spain and has spent
the last 6 months working just up the coast from there on the
Costa Tropical.
With his strong vocals and engaging personality, Ian is an
excellent choice for any relaxed intimate venue.
