Brian McCarthy has been a professional performing musician/vocalist for over 20 years and is a virtuoso on both Piano and the Electric guitar. He has played in many different and diverse musical situations, from playing lead guitar/fronting bands to playing solo piano gigs,as well as being a sound technician/ producer and a studio musician. In fact, Brian has one of the most diverse musical repetoires of any musician out
there from his experiences in both the serious and the popular music worlds.

Though Brian McCarthy was first trained as a classical pianist, as a teenager he was drawn to the electric guitar. Within 5 years of starting on the guitar, Brian was the featured soloist and performer with the Spokane Symphony Orchestra in the production “Bach,Beethoven,and Brian”, which broke all ticket sales records at the time. Brian never lost his love for piano and has continued to play professionally on both instruments for his entire adult life, both as a solo artist(Piano/vocalist) on Cruise Lines and in hotels and restaurants, and also in Bands as a guitarist/vocalist.
Brian has also had a lot of experience in arranging, production and as a sound technician. Most recently Brian was a featured Piano soloist/vocalist with Celebrity Cruise Lines,performing in concerts as a piano soloist and also in the VIP club as a piano vocalist. He is also a teacher of both instruments, and has taught both privately and at a group level, for people of all ages.
