KASAI JONFIN - piano entertainer

Combine eight years of classical piano studies with a rich and syrupy dose of Latin and Caribbean rhythms. Mix well, blend in eight years of Sunday morning spirit filled vocal renditions of songs by Gospel artists like Shirley Caesar, Andre Crouch and The Mighty Clouds of Joy. Cover and set aside to rise.

In a separate bowl, and in a different setting, mix four years of intense jazz piano studies with numerous awards and prestigious performances gained through inter-collegiate competitions and fold into previous batter. Simmer on low but steady heat for about ten years. Add a dash of vocal studies (one year) and these are just some of the qualities that make Kasai (pronounced Ka-sigh) truly a remarkable talent. Naturally gifted with more than his fair share of musical ability, Kasai has patiently honed his vocal, compositional and musical directing skills from garage bands to cruise lines to Broadway productions.

He is now ready to speak with a voice that is unmistakably his own. A voice that makes original vocal and instrumental compositions with sultry interpretations of classics by Stevie Wonder, Michael Franks and George Benson.
