Kateryna Kozlovska was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine the 20th of June 1984. From the very beginning she was very talented as she started to study piano at the age of 5 years and immediately became the center of the surprise of her first teacher Gubenko, as she saw the very high develop of her natural music skills. This first period of her study finished in 1999.
Then, from 1999 on, she had a scholarship for the “Chernivtsi State Music College” where she got into a higher level of studying, adding to her music knowledge the interaction with other musicians in Duo, Trio, Quartet and piano with vocalist. This period lasted until 2003.
But Kateryna, as a fickle young musician, she couldn’t stay only studying, so while she was increasing her music and performance knowledge, at the same time, she was giving a serie of solo concerts in several Music Schools and Music Colleges in Ukraine like Hall of Chernivtsi, Lviv Music College, Ivano-Frankivsk Music School, Hottyn Music School and others.
After that, she started a new serie of concerts but this time for Piano and Violin, and Piano and Violoncello, in Duo and Trio.
Kateryna, in these concerts not only played classical music, but romantic and modern as well. Some composers like F. Lizt, S. Rahmaninov and Debussi where her favorites.
We must not forget to mention that from 2000 she worked as concertmaster in her college, Choir Director in the “State Art College” and besides that, in 2001, she studied in the National University of Chernivtsi” where she had a degree in Medical and Practical Psychology in 2006.
Coming back to the end of College, once again, she got another scholarship for the “National High Music University” in the city of Lviv. In this period she worked as a private piano teacher and in music schools as well.
In 2003, she took another adventure, and prepared a new tourney, this time in an international level, giving a serie of concerts solo, duo and with orchestra in Philharmonic Halls of several cities in Ukraine, Poland, Germany, France and Italy
In 2005, she travelled to Russia, Moscow to take a “Piano Master Class” with Professor U. Lisichenko.
In 2006, Kateryna travels to the United Arab Emirates to play in 5 Stars Hotels, beginning in Al Bustan Rotana from February to September, and from that moment to these days she is performing in Madinat Jumeirah – Al Qasr Hotel, in several special events and promotions playing different kinds of music: classical, popular (jazz, blues, bossa nova) and other styles.
